Dr. Ho has received numerous honours and awards. He is recipient of 14 honorary doctorates and accolades. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the U.S. National Academy of Medicine. He was also a member of the Board of Overseers of Harvard University, the Board of Trustees of the California Institute of Technology, and the Board of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation. In recognition of his contributions to medicine and the global community, HKU has conferred upon him the honorary degree of Doctor of Science. Dr. Ho has also been reviewer, editorial board member and editor of many scientific journals. Dr. Ho was named Time Magazine’s Man of the Year in 1996; received the Presidential Citizen Medal under Bill Clinton in 2001 and the Distinguished Alumni Award by California Institute of Technology in 2015.
